Today was the inaugural Go Cotswolds Purity Brewery & Cotswolds Pub Tour! Exciting!!
My hubby started his own business last year, called Go Cotswolds, in which he takes tourists from Stratford-upon-Avon out on day trips of the Cotswolds. It’s been going really well, considering he hasn’t even been operating for a whole year yet – we have over 50 ‘excellent’ TripAdvisor reviews at the time of writing which is just awesome!
In our quest to offer some more specialist tours, we’ve been in discussions for some time now with a local craft beer brewery to see if we can set up a brewery tour/Cotswolds tour combo. And we did it! Today was the very first one!
The tour includes a pick-up from Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick, Leamington Spa or Warwick Parkway station, then we take you to Purity Brewery for a tour and tasting (included in the tour price). After that we head to a lovely pub called The Golden Cross for lunch and a drink (also included in the price of the tour), followed by a visit to at least two more pubs in the afternoon.
For this first tour we had a little help from our London friends Chris and Amy to gather together a guinea pig crowd, so joining me, Tom, Chris and Amy was Emily and Stephen, and an Italian couple called Barbara and Andrea. Everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves!
Anyway, the point of this blog isn’t to plug my hubs’ business (tee hee) but to document my exercise! Because we had to leave for the tour at 8.30am, I got up early and went for a 5km run. I also squeezed in my Blogilates Stretch Project stretches – today’s new pose was to lie on your back and hug your legs. Ta da!
